TAKE ME OUT!

As the Franz Ferdinand song but in this case talking about trips, holidays, and SUMMER!! Because Summer is already here and it comes with the good weather, beach, terraces, parties and tourism. During this period of the year many people have more free time to enjoy due to the summer holidays. That is the reason why the tourism increases in a big number of cities, specially if those cities are close to the beach. 

Reviewing some of my trips during this summer and in the past I reckon that the best things I’ve got after holidays is more knowledge about the place, fantastic memories and pictures and a good skin tone. Or as my friend says “one pushpin else to put in my personal world map”. The worst comes when you are already at home missing all those things. Here you have some of the places I’ve visited during the summer and I liked more. Hope it is useful!


MALLORCA & IBIZA. Visiting an island by the sea side is fantastic! I honestly loved the life in a boat during those 15 days. Do not miss! Andraxt (Mallorca) a very nice village, and Café Del Mar (Ibiza) to see the sunset while drinking a good cocktail or beer. If on the way to Ibiza or Mallorca you stop by Denia as we did, do not forget to go to ZENSA BAR. Lovely! 

Cova den Xoroi (Menorca)

MENORCA. So far, is one of the places most charming I ever visited. Ciutadella is beautiful. The beaches are not massified and you need to pay in some of them to get in as they are a protected area. Do not miss! COVA DEN XOROI. The best club I ever seen. 

MYKONOS. Amazing! That is the word to describe that place. As a proper greek village everything was in white and blue, the nightlife was absolutely perfect, from my point of view even better than Ibiza and much cheaper. Do not miss! Visit the small island of Santorini, Tropicana for a good party during the day and Cavo Paradiso if possible with a good DJ during the night. 


MALTA. A mix between Italy, Morocco and England. It is true there are not many things to see but just to spend one day in Comino island the trip is worth it. The sea water of that island was much cleaner and clearer than a swimming pool. The landscape was unbeatable. It is a cheap place and with good party as well, perfect to go with friends. Fact: The really old buses drove by ex-convicts. 

MARRAKESH. Very nice colour in the buildings and cheap place even if 100 dirhams sounds a lot for you, don’t worry! It is just 8,8€ . Do not miss! Zoco Market ideal to buy quality fabrics and leather at a good price and local food. And if you want to visit the desert, Ouarzazate is the place!
